The successful candidate will work a 37.5 hour week with certain weekend duties and must undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Job description

My client, an open children's park with play areas, outdoor space, and football pitches, is seeking an experienced Grounds / Site Person to maintain the day-to-day running of the site.

Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will perform manual work outdoors on their 7-acre site, including a range of grounds and building maintenance tasks such as:

• Gardening, park tidying, cleaning, painting, and decorating
• Basic repairs to fixtures and fittings in outdoor areas and internal buildings, including a nursery and several Grade II listed historic buildings
• Hard and soft landscaping of play areas, including sand and water play
• Sweeping, leaf blowing/collection, weeding, and grass cutting
• Acting as a public presence, reporting incidents
• Helping set up halls for hire and events

The role involves working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30, with 1-2 weekends per month (pro-rata), and two consecutive days off during the week.

Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 plus benefits.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
