Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Paisley is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead a hands-on team across landscaping and grounds care, with a focus on safety and quality. You will plan daily activities, allocate workloads, supervise grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming, and ensure tasks are completed on time while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role is permanent, full-time, with hours 07:30–16:00, Monday to Friday, and a full UK driving licence is desirable/essential

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team in grounds maintenance or horticulture.
• Ability to plan daily activities and allocate workloads effectively.
• Strong communication with clients and team members.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a team of grounds maintenance operatives.
• Plan and allocate daily workloads and ensure tasks are completed within timescales.
• Carry out grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, pruning, planting, weeding and general grounds maintenance.
• Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery safely.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and client requirements.
• Liaise with clients, site managers and staff professionally.
• Complete daily records, timesheets and vehicle checks.
• Monitor stock and report needs to management.
• Provide guidance and training to team members.
