Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Experienced Working Supervisor (Grounds Maintenance) in Salisbury to lead a small team and perform grounds maintenance across sites in and around Salisbury. The role requires strong leadership, clear communication and hands-on duties including grave digging responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in grounds work, plus a COTS qualification and a full UK driving licence. IOSH safety certificates are advantageous to the post.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory role in grounds maintenance/landscaping.
• Experience with excavation and grave preparation is highly desirable.
• Candidates should hold COTS qualification and a full UK driving licence.
• IOSH and health & safety certificates are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead, organise and work with the grounds maintenance team to allocate daily tasks and monitor quality and productivity.
• Carry out standard grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, leaf clearance and seasonal maintenance.
• Operate a mini digger for grave excavation and other grounds works safely and competently.
• Support burial and interment services with professionalism and dignity for bereaved families.
• Maintain accurate daily records of work, machinery checks, incidents and materials used.
