Job summary

King’s College School Wimbledon is seeking a proactive assistant groundsperson to support the school’s grounds team in maintaining sports facilities at the main site and Kingsway. The role involves assisting with pitches, artificial surfaces, equipment upkeep and light pruning, working as part of a six-strong team.

The ideal candidate has grounds experience, a good understanding of field markings and a flexible, team-oriented approach. Driving licence is desirable; full training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a groundsperson or similar.
• Driving licence desirable.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Interest in outdoor work and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sports facilities at main site and Kingsway to national standards.
• Provide grounds staff support to matches/fixtures as required.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and machinery used on pitches and surfaces.
• Assist with light tree pruning, hedge cutting and path maintenance.
• Support maintenance of grounds and related facilities and buildings.
• Attend meetings and events as directed.
