Job summary

WPS is seeking an experienced Groundworker/Hard Landscaper to join our team in Redditch. You will work across social housing properties, delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs that benefit local communities.

This hands-on role requires initiative, reliability, and a commitment to excellent workmanship and customer service. Responsibilities include installing and repairing paving, brickwork repairs, fencing, and responsive maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Groundworks or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in domestic, residential or social housing maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair concrete flagging and paving.
  • Carry out light brickwork repairs and repointing.
  • Renew and install fencing (closeboard, panel, timber).
  • Complete responsive maintenance across social housing properties.

Location: Redditch

WPS is looking for an experienced and dependable Groundworker/Hard Landscaper to join our growing team. Working across social housing properties in and around Redditch, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, and improvement works that make a real difference to local communities.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone with strong groundworks experience, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering excellent workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and relay concrete flagging and paving.
  • Carry out light brickwork repairs, repointing, and minor masonry works.
  • Renew, repair, and install closeboard, panel, and timber fencing.
  • Complete responsive maintenance and repair works across occupied and void social housing properties.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and supervisors.
What We're Looking For
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • NVQ Level 2 in Groundworks, Hard Landscaping, or a related construction trade (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience working within domestic, residential, or social housing maintenance environments.
  • Ability to work independently using your own initiative, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.
