AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited is seeking a highly capable Ground System Security Design Engineer to safeguard critical Spacecraft Control Centre Systems and Satellite Communications infrastructures. You'll report to the Head of SCOF Engineering and lead end-to-end security architecture initiatives, ensuring defenses stay ahead of evolving threats.

Based at our Corsham/Cchippenham site with hybrid working options, you will contribute to secure architectures, risk management, and compliance

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain UK Eyes Only SC Security Clearance.
• Proven track record in secure environments and cyber security.
• Familiarity with standards, governance and best practices in security.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support to projects with regards to cyber security.
• Analyze functional needs, establish associated criticality levels, propose appropriate security protection concepts, and project and manage risks for the project.
• Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of standards, regulation, governance, and best practices across specified disciplines.
• Manage end-to-end projects, tasks, and deliverables in accordance with Airbus Business Processes.
• Ensure the activity of all actors and disciplines is coordinated and fits together in the overall security architecture.
• Leverage your knowledge and understanding of Spacecraft Control Centre Systems to ensure robust protection.
• Apply your knowledge of Satellite Communications infrastructures to secure critical data streams.

LOCATION : Chippenham, Wiltshire, Portsmouth or Stevenage (with some hybrid working available subject to our Hybrid Working Policy)

TYPE: Full time

At our Airbus Defence and Space site in Corsham, we are seeking a highly credentialed Ground System Security Design Engineer to provide end-to-end protection for our critical Spacecraft Control Centre Systems and Satellite Communications infrastructures.

Reporting to the Head of SCOF Engineering you will play a pivotal role in managing high-stakes security architecture and ensuring our defenses remain ahead of evolving threats.
