Our client is the digital and intelligence arm of a major defence company, seeking a Ground Segment Systems Engineer in Alton, Hampshire. This hybrid role spans architecture, design, development and evolution of space-ground systems for current and future missions.

Grade GG10-GG11, with hybrid working arrangements and clear opportunities to shape mission control, TT&C, data processing and automation across diverse space programs.

Competenze

• Ground segment architecture and design.
• TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking and Command) and communications systems.

Mansioni

• Work within the Ground Segment domain, supporting the architecture, design, development and evolution of ground systems for current and future space missions.
• Apply systems engineering principles across the full ground segment lifecycle, from concept and requirements definition through to integration, verification and acceptance.
• Develop robust, scalable and maintainable ground segment solutions that meet mission, customer and operational needs.
• Contribute to the definition of ground segment architectures, interfaces and technical solutions across a range of mission applications.
• Apply knowledge of ground segment standards, engineering best practice and industry approaches to system development.
• Work collaboratively with software, infrastructure, mission and systems engineers to deliver integrated ground segment capabilities.
• Support the development of next-generation ground segment products, services and mission capabilities.
• Develop expertise across a broad range of ground segment functions including mission control, TT&C, mission planning, payload operations, data processing and automation.

Role Description

• Work within the Ground Segment domain, supporting the architecture, design, development and evolution of ground systems for current and future space missions.
