Job summary

GMV Spain is seeking a project engineer to set up ground segment systems for clients in the UK. The role involves deploying, integrating, testing and maintaining control centre software products and coordinating installations at client sites.

The successful candidate should have system engineering experience, an interest in the Space sector, and basic scripting skills, with strong communication and analytical abilities. UK security clearance (SC) eligibility is required for consideration.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment, integration, testing, and maintenance of control centre software products and ground segment solutions developed by GMV. This includes preparing technical documentation and project deliverables for customers, supporting system verification and validation activities, and coordinating software installations and upgrades both at GMV facilities and at client sites.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

To be successful in your application you will need the following experience and qualifications

• System engineer (preferably from telecommunications, but also from software or aeronautics), interested in the Space domain or critical systems
• Interest in the Space sector and willingness to learn the specifics of mission-critical systems.
  Practical, methodical and detailed-oriented.
• Basic programming knowledge to support the team with scripting or configuration tasks.
• Good communication skills and attention to operational detail.
• Analytical mind.
• Capable of understanding and potentially defining an end-to-end solution based on subsystems.

You'll be even more successful in this role, if you can bring knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Experience in operational environments, system validation or similar roles.
• Spanish
