Ground Mount Solar Developer

Are you an experienced Ground Mount solar PV developer, looking to take the next step in your career within a long standing and progressive renewable energy company?

Do you want a chance to help lead and expand an agricultural division within a leading solar PV organisation, where you have the flexibility to work autonomously?

On offer is a chance to join a leading solar PV company in the UK, who are in a period of expansion which includes the acquisition of other organisations. They are looking to scale their and expand their capacity within the agricultural sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of ground mount solar PV projects across the UK. With responsibilities across the full project lifecycle - this is an exciting role where you will be undertaking initial site surveys and feasibility studies, GIS mapping, grid connection, project management and more. You will be working from home / site with office visits as needed. You will be supported by a C suite who built the UK's first solar farms in 2010 and who have delivered more than 185MW.

This is an ideal role for a someone experienced in the development of ground-mount projects looking for a truly influential and autonomous role with excellent progression. You will have the chance to help expand the ground-mount division of the company, including scaling the team.

The Person:

* Proven experience in the development of groundmount solar PV projects.
* Great personal skills and highlevel understanding of the agricultural sector.
* Experience in GIS Mapping and site suitability studies.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the planning process.
* Detailed understanding and experience agreeing terms and overseeing the option and lease process.
* Strong understanding and experience with UK grid connection processes, applications and regulations - ICP / DNO.
* Excellent project management skills.
* Strong understanding of UK Solar market trends and growth opportunities.
* The ability to break down project barriers and find solutions.

The Role:

* Development of groundmount solar PV projects across the UK.
* Working across the full project lifecycle - including early development, site planning, GIS Mapping, feasibility studies and more.
* Technical / engineering management across the projects.
* Stakeholder communication and management to ensure projects are completed to both specifications and timeframes.
* Management of all grid connection processes, including applications and DNO communication.
* Overseeing of the LPA process and community engagement.
* Candidates can be based anywhere, however must travel to sites and occasionally the office if needed.
