Service Care Solutions have a fantastic opportunity for a Ground Maintenance Operative to join a local authority working out of Lufton, Somerset on an ongoing temporary contract.

You will undertake grounds/horticultural operations on highways, highway verges, cemeteries, public spaces and landscaped areas around the borough.

Duties will include:

• Grass/hedge maintenance, weeding, clearing leaves, clearing shrub beds, pruning, planting shrubs, summer bedding and seeding.
• Removal of graffiti and fly posting.
• Flood management, sand bagging as part of emergency protocol.
• Other reasonable duties of a similar nature requested by supervisors or managers.
• Operate powered hand tools such as leaf blowers, strimmer's and mowers, mechanical sweepers.

Requirements :

• Full UK Driving License.
• Previous ground maintenance experience
• Be able to work outside in all weather conditions
