Job summary

Fexco Property Services seeks a Green Infrastructure and Biodiversity Manager to lead greenspace and habitat management across a defined regional area in a hybrid role. You will inspect sites, monitor contractors, and drive biodiversity-net-gain initiatives in line with planning obligations.

The role combines fieldwork four days a week with office work, requiring strong contract management, stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Passion for greenspace and biodiversity.
• Experience in landscape and habitat management through education and/or practice.
• Qualification in horticulture, landscape management, ecology, environmental management or related discipline. Level 3+ or higher.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• Good plant identification and horticultural knowledge.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, management plans and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality greenspace, biodiversity and estate services across your area, inspecting sites and identifying improvements.
• Ensure compliance with inspection regimes, statutory requirements, record-keeping and reporting obligations.
• Manage landscape, habitat and estate maintenance contracts, monitoring performance, quality, compliance and value for money.
• Inspect completed works against specifications, management plans and contract requirements.
• Undertake audits of new developments before handover, ensuring compliance with planning conditions and Biodiversity Net Gain commitments.
