Qualifications

• Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred.
• Ability to operate various groundskeeping equipment.
• Knowledge of turf nutrition and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, aerating, and maintaining golf course turf.
• Applying nutrition and top dressing as required.
• Identifying and controlling pests and turf disorders.

Champneys Mottram Hall

Contract: Full Time

Salary: up to £27,000

Seasonal hours.

Mon-Fri Summer 45 hours.
Winter 35 hours. Weekend work 1 in 3 required.

Our 18-hole par 72 Championship Golf Course is one of a kind. We were the host venue for the 2013 European Senior's PGA Championship, featuring tree-lined fairways and subtle rolling greens.

Some specific duties include:

• Mowing tees, greens, and fairways
• Aerating turf
• Applying nutrition and top dressing
• Repairing divots and maintaining bunkers
• Identifying and controlling weeds, pests, and turf disorders
• Monitoring property grounds
• Maintaining lawns through mowing, edging, raking leaves, and other lawn care tasks
• Preparing and inspecting machinery, cleaning, and refueling equipment after use
• Supporting gardening tasks within our grounds team
• Removing rubbish from exterior bins
• Maintaining the appearance of walkways
• Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines
