Job summary

Jark PLC in Normanton, West Yorkshire, seeks operatives and machine operators with a granite manufacturing background. The role involves basic machine setting, edge polishing, following production drawings, and maintaining quality checks to meet fabrication specifications.

Full training is provided; the environment is fast-paced and physically demanding with manual handling. Shift options include days and weekends with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of worktop manufacture would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided.
• Experience of working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• We are looking for people who can work to deadlines with a flexible approach to workload and duties.

Responsibilities

• Basic machine setting and operating.
• Working to production drawing and templates.
• Edge polishing of granite and other solid surfaces to dimensions for fabrication.
• Ensure Process Planning Sheets are correctly completed for stock calculation.
• Clean and maintain machinery and tools.
• Maintain a tidy work area.
• Perform visual and dimensional quality inspection checks.
