Job summary

GRAHAM is seeking a Civil Engineer in London to deliver complex civil projects across bridges, highways, rivers and railways, turning designs into real structures with safety and quality at the core.

You should hold an ICE-accredited degree, demonstrate strong communication and problem solving, and be eligible to work in the UK. A driving licence is required; willingness to work on site in the UK and Ireland is expected.

Qualifications

Recognised ICE/Engineering degree or equivalent.
Strong communication skills.
Right to work in UK and Ireland.
Full driving licence.
Experience in construction industry.
Ability to demonstrate problem solving.

Responsibilities

Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements are adhered to.
Undertake surveying and setting out duties.
Plan work and organise site operations to meet milestones.
Liaise with consultants and subcontractors as necessary.
Resolve unforeseen technical challenges and other problems.
Undertake testing and calibration of instruments used.
Share improvements and innovation.

A Civil Engineer will:

Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental and Quality requirements are adhered to.
Undertake Surveying and setting out duties.
Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme milestones.
Liaise with any consultants and sub-contractors engaged in the project as necessary.
Resolve any unforeseen technical challenges and other problems that may arise.
Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used.
Share improvements and innovation.
Continuously learn and develop through our GRAHAM Academy.

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

Interviews will commence in February 2027.
Successful candidates will be notified in March 2027.

Requirements

Recognised Engineers Ireland / ICE accredited Civil Engineering Degree or Equivalent.
Demonstrate strong communication skills.
Right to work in UK and Ireland.
Full Driving Licence.
An appreciation of Health & Safety practices.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Previous work experience specifically in the Construction Industry.
Able to demonstrate problem solving.
