Job summary

Stantec in Cardiff is inviting applications for its 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Urban Drainage Modeller. You will support urban drainage and wastewater network modelling for major regulated water companies across the UK and Ireland, working within a team of experienced modellers and collaborating with Civils and Water Quality groups.

The role focuses on storm overflow programmes, flooding and growth projects, and client-led urban drainage work, with training and mentoring to develop

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related water discipline.
• Willingness to train and develop professional qualifications.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support urban drainage modelling work using specialist software such as ICM.
• Contribute to storm overflow programmes and growth projects.
• Assist in assessing flooding and growth-related challenges in urban drainage networks.
• Support investigations to identify root causes of operational issues.
• Collaborate with Civils, Water Quality and other modelling teams.
