Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Leeds is offering a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Graduate Urban Drainage Modeller. You will support modelling and drainage projects, working with engineers and specialists to improve river health and reduce flooding.

You will develop hydraulic modelling skills, contribute to AMP8 and other major projects, and pursue chartered status with guidance from mentors. This role requires a civil/hydraulic background and interest in water.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering, Geography or Hydrology.
• Interest in water industry and developing professional career.
• GIS, data analysis or hydraulic modelling software knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking urban drainage modelling tasks using specialist software, with training and support provided.
• Using hydraulic models to assess flooding, growth, storm overflows and outline design challenges.
• Supporting quality assurance, documentation and technical reporting for modelling outputs.
• Working with colleagues across modelling, civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines to develop joined-up solutions.
• Supporting maintenance, verification, calibration and Fit for Use assessment of wastewater network models from surveys and other data.
• Contributing to projects that improve river health and reduce flooding and pollution.
• Beginning your professional development and chartership journey with mentorship.
