Job summary

Emtech Recruitment seeks a Graduate Transport Planner in Cambridge to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to assessments, travel plans, and junction modelling on a range of developments.

You will prepare Transport Assessments/Statements, support feasibility through to delivery, and liaise with clients. A degree in a relevant field and a proactive approach are essential for early career progression in transport planning.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Undertake junction modelling and analysis.
• Produce junction and highway layouts (AutoCAD desirable).
• Carry out technical analysis using Junctions 11, ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG.
• Support projects from feasibility through to planning and delivery.
• Work across residential, retail, commercial and mixed-use developments.
• Communicate with clients and other project stakeholders.
• Attend site visits and support the project team.

Graduate Transport Planner - Cambridge

Location: Cambridge

The Role

As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will work alongside experienced Transport Planning professionals and gain exposure to a wide range of projects and responsibilities, including:

• Preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans


• Undertaking junction modelling and analysis


• Producing junction and highway layouts, with AutoCAD experience desirable


• Carrying out technical analysis using software such as Junctions 11, ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG


• Supporting projects from initial feasibility through to planning and delivery


• Working across a variety of residential, retail, commercial and mixed-use developments


• Communicating with clients and other project stakeholders


• Attending site visits and supporting the wider project team

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related subject


• An interest in developing a career within Transport Planning

• A willingness to learn and develop technically
