Job summary

Stantec’s Manchester office invites applications for a Graduate Town Planner to join our market-leading Community Development discipline. You’ll work with a team of 25 professionals and graduates on residential, commercial and environmental projects from research to planning applications and stakeholder engagement.

We welcome RTPI-accredited degree holders; knowledge of Adobe, SketchUp and Microsoft Office is beneficial. Office attendance is four days a week to support learning and development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an RTPI-accredited degree.
Desire to pursue and achieve RTPI chartership.

Responsibilities

Undertaking planning research and site appraisals to support project development.
Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
Supporting community engagement and stakeholder consultation activities.
Contributing to the promotion of local plans and planning policy responses.
Assisting with planning appeals and the preparation of supporting documentation.
Working on a diverse range of residential, commercial and environmental projects.
