Job summary

Penguin Recruitment seeks a Graduate Town Planner to join the Macclesfield studio and assist with planning applications, policy research and assessments. The role offers a permanent position within a supportive consultancy that serves residential, leisure, retail and commercial sectors.

You should hold an RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline, with strong written and verbal communication, research and organisational skills, and a genuine interest in the UK planning

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
• Supporting planning appraisals and development potential assessments.
• Undertaking planning policy research and reviewing local planning documents.
• Assisting with the preparation of planning statements, reports and representations.
• Supporting senior colleagues with planning appeals and enforcement matters.
• Assisting with development plan and Local Plan representations.
• Liaising with local planning authorities and other professional consultants.
• Undertaking site visits and gathering information to support planning advice.
• Monitoring planning applications and progressing projects through the planning process.
