Job summary

Nicholas Associates Graduate Placements in Lincoln is seeking a motivated graduate to join our Manufacturing team as a Test & Assembly Operative. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience assembling, testing and repairing advanced electronic products within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Assemble and test electronic and RF products using detailed work instructions, engineering drawings and test procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong practical aptitude and interest in electronics and manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to manage workload effectively and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electronic and RF products using detailed work instructions, drawings and test procedures.
• Carry out mechanical assembly, PCB soldering and other manufacturing processes to quality standards.
• Complete production documentation, test reports and build records accurately.
• Support fault finding and repair activities on production units and returned products.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, quality, ESD and environmental requirements.
• Work with Engineering and Production teams to achieve delivery targets.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, including 5S and process improvement projects.
