Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a Trainee Internal Sales Engineer to develop a career combining technical engineering and B2B sales. You will receive training on the company’s products and applications while supporting customers from initial enquiry through to order.

Working closely with Technical and Sales teams, you will learn to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, understand requirements, calculate margins and process orders.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification required.
• Strong mathematics or physics background.
• Genuine interest in developing a career in technical sales.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries and provide technical support.
• Prepare technical quotations and proposals.
• Understand customer requirements and identify suitable solutions.
• Calculate costs and apply margins.
• Process customer orders and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding product availability and orders.
• Work with warehouse and internal teams to ensure correct delivery.
• Maintain sales and enquiry records.
• Keep customers updated on products, developments and orders.
• Support existing relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
• Assist with general sales administration and reporting.
• Potentially support marketing and social media activity.
