Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Secondary Schools in the Wirral
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (flexibility available)
Contract: Term Time Only

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom teaching, help manage student behaviour and provide targeted support to individuals or small groups. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students’ learning
• Providing one-to-one or small group support, particularly for students with additional needs
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Helping students achieve their learning and personal development goals
• Supporting behaviour management and classroom routines

Person Specification:

We are looking for graduates who:

• Have previous experience working with children or in a school environment
• Are confident, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting young people
• Communicate effectively and work well in a team
• Can build strong relationships with students and staff
• Follow safeguarding protocols and prioritise student safety
• Use initiative and problem-solving skills in a classroom setting
