Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people in secondary education? We are currently recruiting for a skilled and enthusiastic TA to join a forward-thinking secondary school on the Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping students succeed during a crucial stage in their academic journey.

About the Role:

You will work closely with classroom teachers to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, including those with additional needs. Your role will involve helping to deliver high-quality learning, fostering a positive learning environment, and providing 1:1 or small group support where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers in the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons

Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives

Assist students with SEND, SEMH, or other support needs to access the curriculum

Promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom

Help monitor student progress and contribute to their academic and personal development

Requirements:

Essential: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting

Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) preferred

A calm, confident, and patient approach

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

An up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
