Job summary

Francis Holland Regent’s Park seeks a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join on a fixed-term basis for the Autumn Term until July 2027. The role provides broad support across academic, co-curricular and administrative areas and requires experience with young people.

The successful candidate will typically be a university graduate considering teaching, with a proactive mindset and teamwork spirit, supported by training including Safeguarding and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the school across a range of departments.
• Assist with co-curricular activities and school events i.e. plays or performances, as required.
• Meet weekly with the line manager to discuss weekly tasks.
• Cover lessons when teachers or other members of support staff are absent.
• Supervise pupils at break time and lunchtime via the rota of duties.
• Invigilate internal and public examinations, as required during the school year.
• accompany school trips if required, which may include some weekends and during school holidays
• Act as a positive role model for pupils, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm and care
• Carry out administrative or other needed tasks in support of the school
