Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a SEND school in Trafford. This full-time, term-time only role offers a temporary position with potential for permanent opportunities and a September start.

You will support pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, working with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities while fostering wellbeing and inclusion.

Qualifications

• A degree in any subject.
• Genuine interest in supporting children with SEND.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, resilient and proactive approach.
• DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Work with the class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.
• Support children with additional needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence in the classroom.
• Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
