Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants in Guildford to support fantastic SEN schools across Surrey. This role offers flexible full-time and part-time opportunities for graduates looking to gain classroom experience in SEN education.

You will work with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, in 1:1 and small-group settings, helping them access learning and develop confidence.

Qualifications

• Recent university graduate – all degree subjects considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, positive and adaptable approach.
• Previous experience working with children, young people, SEND, or care settings is beneficial but not essential.
• Based in or able to commute to Guildford and surrounding Surrey areas.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Help students access learning and develop confidence.
• Support children with additional learning needs.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and interventions.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and independence.
• Provide emotional and pastoral support where required.
