Job summary

Milk Education is currently recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across secondary and SEND schools. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates who are considering a career in teaching, SEND, educational psychology, youth work or pastoral support.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, helping pupils access learning, build confidence and overcome barriers to their education. We have both full time and part time opportunities.

Qualifications

• A degree in any subject.
• Previous experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, positive and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Help pupils overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.
• Assist pupils with SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH as required.
• Provide feedback to teachers regarding pupil engagement and progress.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
