Role Overview:

As a Primary Graduate TA, you will be supporting class teachers in delivering engaging lessons, working with pupils individually or in small groups, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic and pastoral support to pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom organisation, and resource preparation.
• Offer targeted intervention to help pupils reach their full potential.
• Work with pupils who may need additional support, including those with SEND.
• Promote positive behaviour and support the emotional well-being of all students.
• Supervise pupils during breaks, lunch, and transitions as required.
• Participate in school events and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements of the Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or mentoring capacity (desirable).
• A recent degree in any discipline (Education, Psychology, English, or related field) is desirable.
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach to classroom support.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
