Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant (Post-16)
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £84 - £108 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long-Term

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic support to students aged 16–19 across various subjects.
• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
• Support individual learners or small groups to improve subject understanding.
• Foster positive learning environments and encourage independent study habits.
• Help monitor and track student progress, offering encouragement and feedback.
• Provide support for students with additional needs when required.

Job Requirements:

• A degree in any subject – Education, Psychology, or English preferred.
• A genuine interest in teaching or a future in education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
• Previous experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential.
• A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one through GSL.
