Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting a Psychology & Criminology Graduate to work as a Behaviour Support Assistant in a North Durham school. You will support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs and work alongside teachers to enable positive engagement with learning.

The role is full-time, term-time, with school hours, and offers daily pay of £98–£115 depending on experience. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Youth Work or related subject.
• Ability to manage emotions and behaviour in pupils.
• Strong communication and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to manage emotions and behaviour.
• Help pupils engage positively in learning.
• Build confidence and self-esteem in students.
• Foster positive relationships and communication.
• Assist access to classroom activities and develop independence.
• Provide 1:1, small-group and classroom support as needed.
• Support pupils to overcome barriers to learning.
