You will work closely with teachers, therapists, support staff and families to deliver structured, personalised support that enables each pupil to progress academically, socially and emotionally at their own pace.

You will help create a positive and engaging learning environment where pupils feel safe, respected and encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

  • Assisting with lesson preparation and maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment

  • Supporting with personal care where required, including toileting, feeding, mobility and changing
  • A degree in Psychology, Education Studies, Childhood Studies, Health & Social Care, Sociology, Criminology, Sports Coaching, Social Sciences or a related field is desirable
  • Previous experience supporting children, young people or individuals with Special Educational Needs is essential
  • Experience may have been gained through paid employment, university placements, volunteering, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, coaching or care settings
  • Confident, proactive and able to take initiative
