Job summary

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students and teachers across the school.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students and teachers across the school. You will work closely with pupils to help raise attainment, improve confidence, and create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Providing 1:1 support for students who require additional academic or pastoral assistance.
• Building positive relationships with students and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
• Delivering small‑group intervention sessions to improve student progress.
• Supporting pupils with SEN, behavioural, emotional, or academic needs.
• Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour.
• Contributing to extracurricular activities, including after‑school clubs and enrichment programmes.
• Helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Working Hours

• Full‑time position.
• Monday to Friday.
• Typical school hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm.
• Attendance at occasional after‑school activities and staff meetings may be required.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Be willing to complete Prospero Teaching's registration and compliance process.
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
• Be able to provide professional references.
