Graduate Teaching Assistant – Birmingham

Elevate Supply is working closely with secondary schools across Birmingham to offer flexible supply roles for Graduate Teaching Assistants. Whether you're looking to gain school-based experience before a teacher training programme or simply want to support young people in a meaningful way, this is a great chance to get started.

We’re looking for adaptable and proactive graduates who can step into a range of classroom support roles across subjects and key stages.

Role Responsibilities:

Support teachers with the delivery of lessons and classroom routines

Provide 1:1 or small group assistance to students

Help manage behaviour and promote positive learning environments

Work flexibly across departments depending on the school’s needs

Encourage engagement, participation, and academic progress

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or otherwise)

Confident, reliable, and enthusiastic approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to support a variety of subjects and year groups

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
