Role Overview
As a successful Future Teacher, you'll take on the role of a Cover Supervisor within a secondary school in the Bristol area. Your responsibilities will include stepping in during short-term teacher absences, ensuring continuity in student learning by overseeing tasks set by the teacher. While there's no active teaching, marking, or planning required, you'll provide supervision, delivering a high-quality learning experience and gaining valuable insights into the teaching profession.

  • Collaborate with staff to support student development through pastoral systems
  • Familiarize yourself with school policies and understand their rationale for development
  • Master the syllabus in your subject area and explore how your degree knowledge can be applied, presenting this to the school
  • Support students in coursework and exam preparation
