Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants for a school in North Durham, supporting pupils who may need help with behaviour, emotional regulation, communication and learning.

You could work 1:1, in small groups or within the wider classroom; a degree in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Youth Work or related subject can develop that knowledge through hands-on experience and support careers in Psychology, Teaching, Youth Justice, SEND, Mental Health or Social Care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Youth Work or a related subject.
• Experience in education or working with young people is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1, in small groups, or in the wider classroom.
• Help regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively.
• Engage with learning and develop communication skills.
• Build confidence and independence; form positive relationships.
• Support pupils to overcome barriers to learning.
