Job summary

The University of Salford is seeking a Graduate Sustainability Communications and Engagement Officer to join the Central Sustainability Office in partnership with Salford Students’ Union. You will help deliver the University Sustainability Strategy and Net Zero Carbon commitment through engaging staff and students in events and initiatives.

• Recent graduate from the University of Salford within the past three years in a sustainability or communications related subject.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Sustainability Engagement Officer and wider Sustainability Office to support the delivery of events and initiatives throughout the year to engage staff and students on environmental issues.
• Assist with communication to help raise awareness, educate and influence staff and students to make more sustainable choices.
• Support colleagues in the Sustainability Office and Salford SU to identify and build links with student groups and student volunteers.
• Work alongside student volunteers to deliver successful events and activities.
