Job summary

Pertemps Education Network is seeking a Graduate Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to join a warm Newbury special school, supporting pupils aged 2–19 with SLD/CLD, ASC and SLCN. You will work with SALTs, teachers and pastoral staff to deliver tailored interventions.

This entry role offers mentoring from experienced therapists, ongoing training, and a clear path into Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching or Educational Psychology, with term-time full-time hours.

Qualifications

• A recent graduate with a passion for helping children communicate and connect.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full-time availability during term-time and ability to relocate near Newbury.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small-group speech and language interventions tailored to pupil needs
• Support teachers in creating engaging, autism-friendly classroom environments
• Encourage pupils’ communication, social interaction, and emotional development
• Collaborate daily with SALT professionals, SEN teachers, and therapists
• Uphold safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing across all activities
