Job summary

Guardian Jobs is recruiting a Graduate Speech and Language Therapist in Coventry for a full-time September start. You will work in a welcoming school, supporting pupils with a range of communication and learning needs, collaborating with SEND professionals and teachers to help children access the curriculum.

You will develop therapeutic and communication skills within an educational setting, receiving mentoring from experienced SEND professionals and gaining hands-on experience before pursuing

Qualifications

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration or eligibility.
• Experience with children or young people via placements or work.
• Knowledge of SLCN and its impact on learning.
• Experience supporting SEND and ASC/SEMH needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to develop communication skills and engagement with learning.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group intervention programmes.
• Assist pupils with SEND including ASC and SEMH in mainstream lessons.
• Collaborate with SENDCo, teachers and external agencies.
