Job summary

Mako is seeking inquisitive Graduate Engineers to join its real-time trading software team in London. You will enter a structured training programme to gain hands-on experience in production systems, with formal training and mentorship from experienced engineers.

As a Graduate Engineer, you will work on a low-latency, in-house trading system written in C++ on Linux, with exposure to pricing models, UI, and connectivity to major venues.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Pragmatic, problem-solving mindset with quantitative skills.
• Upper second class STEM degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work on a low-latency derivatives trading system written in C++ on Linux.
• Collaborate in an Agile team with traders, hardware, and support staff.
• Be mentored by senior engineers and contribute to production-relevant work.
