Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is launching a Software Engineer Graduate Scheme across multiple UK locations, including London, Halifax, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh. You’ll design, build and maintain applications, platforms and digital services used by millions, with a blend of learning and hands-on delivery.

You’ll work with Java, Python, TypeScript and other languages, gain cloud certs, and rotate across platform teams to make a real impact within a major financial services group.

Qualifications

• Access to industry-recognised cloud certifications like Google and Azure.
• Strong foundation in modern engineering practices such as cloud development, automation and continuous testing.
• This is a Software Engineer programme first; if your focus is AI/ML, the Data Science programme is likely the better route.
• Note: We cannot sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and platforms across the bank's digital services.
• Code with languages like Java, Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift, Rust and Golang.
• Learn modern engineering practices including cloud development, automation and testing.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure and API development at scale.
• Collaborate with product teams, architects and tech specialists.
