Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting graduates to work as SEN Teaching Assistants across schools in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting pupils with additional needs and to build a foundation for a career in education, psychology, counselling or social work.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, help with learning, support positive behaviour and create an inclusive classroom environment, with flexible start dates and long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• A university degree or equivalent qualification.
• Genuine interest in working with children and young people.
• Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable and proactive with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
• Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Help pupils engage with their learning and develop confidence.
• Work alongside teachers and SEN staff to deliver inclusive learning.
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
