A specialist SEN school in Newcastle is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate SEN Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil and help them thrive both academically and personally.
This role is particularly suited to graduates interested in Psychology, Child Development, Education, Behaviour or SEND, offering the chance to put your academic knowledge into practice within a specialist school environment.
You could be a recent graduate with a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Education, Childhood Studies or a related subject.

Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential. Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals would be an advantage.
Working in a specialist SEN school will give you practical experience that can be difficult to gain from a degree alone.
You'll develop your understanding of behaviour, communication, emotional regulation and individual learning needs, making this an excellent stepping stone towards a career in psychology, teaching, therapy or wider education and support services.
