A specialist SEN school in Newcastle is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to gain valuable hands-on experience in a specialist setting, developing an understanding of SEND, behaviour, communication and child development.
The role would be particularly valuable for graduates considering careers in Psychology, Teaching, Educational Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Social Work.

You don't need extensive SEN experience. The school is looking for someone who is patient, resilient, caring and eager to learn.
Previous experience with children through volunteering, tutoring, youth work, care work or placements would be beneficial.
You'll gain practical experience that can help bridge the gap between university and your future career.
You'll develop skills in individualised learning, behaviour support, communication, emotional regulation and SEND, while working alongside experienced education professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
