Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Chelmsford. You will provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, Autism, and trauma-related difficulties, helping them engage with learning and build social skills.

The role runs from September 2026 to July 2027 and requires emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability. Previous experience in similar settings is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a degree from a UK university.
• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (voluntary or paid).
• Strong emotional intelligence, resilience and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
• Supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, trauma-related difficulties and behavioural issues
• Assisting teachers across a range of subjects and activities
