Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a graduate to join a rapidly expanding Alternative Provision in Harlow as an SEMH Teaching Assistant. You will support students 1:1 and in small groups, helping them engage with learning and develop social skills.

The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism and trauma-related difficulties, and working closely with teachers across subjects. Fixed-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027, based in a Primary school in Harlow.

Qualifications

• Graduate with UK university degree.
• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs.
• Strong emotional intelligence, resilience and adaptability.
• Commitment from September 2026 to July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
• Support pupils with SEMH, Autism, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural issues.
• Assist teachers across a range of subjects and activities.
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement and personal growth.
