Job summary

University of Exeter is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant (0.8 FTE, part-time) to support analysis of passive acoustic monitoring data from coral reefs and to help develop partnerships that centre Indigenous voices. The role includes literature reviews, data analysis in R, and helping organise a workshop.

The successful candidate will present research progress, communicate complex information clearly, and contribute to external proposals.

Qualifications

• Educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field.
• Demonstrate knowledge in the discipline and of research methods to work within established programmes.
• Discuss Indigenous co-design and have depth of understanding of day-to-day lived experiences of Traditional Owners in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Analyze passive acoustic monitoring data from coral reefs using R packages.
• Review scientific and policy literature related to the project.
• Organise workshops and support establishment of partnerships, centring Indigenous voices.
