Graduate Recruitment Consultant – Specialist Hedge Funds Head-Hunters

Salary: £26K basic, OTE £45K year 1, £60K year 2, £85K year 3

Location: Bank, City of London

My client is a global specialist Recruitment Firm in Hedge Funds, Assessment Management, Investment Banks, Crypto and Fintech. They place technologists, data scientists, engineers and traders into leading firms across the globe, and they have presence in New York, Chicago, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai.

• They take a hybrid approach between contingent recruitment and executive search; their candidates are in high demand and therefore paid extremely well. Salaries are over 6 figures and placements have included over £1m packages
• Average deal sizes ranges from £60 - £80k but often deals can be in the £120 - £150k bracket.
• You are expected to make a handful of deals year 1 and take home anywhere between £45k - £60k within your first year.

Graduate Recruitment Consultant - Who are they looking for?

• Must have achieved greatly in academics: AAB+ at A-Level and a 2:1 or above from top 20 university.
• Confidence – you will be working with the smartest candidates across the globe, all of whom will not only have left Oxbridge or Top Ivy League schools but they were the top 5% of those colleges so must not be intimidated by speaking with intelligent individuals.
• Money Motivated – although you are placing the top individuals it is more fast paced than standard executive search and you will have excellent earning potential from day 1. A recent joiner has just earned over £100k year 1 – they want people who are excited by the opportunity to earn big!
• Research led – when working with some of the biggest hedge funds globally you need to have an organised, research focused attention to detail led approach to recruitment.
• Hard working – must be driven, ambitious and hardworking with evidence of this through academics, sport, work experience or through life! You must had worked alongside studies and have evidence of grit.
