Job summary

Tatton Recruitment is helping a growing rail engineering business recruit a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer in Mansfield for a structured 3-year rotation covering design, manufacture, maintenance and overhaul.

You will develop 3D CAD models, layouts and fabrication drawings for wagons, containers and heavy fabrication projects, with hands-on shop-floor experience and a clear progression path to full ownership by year three.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient with 3D CAD and able to read engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of materials and mechanical design fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D CAD models, layouts and fabrication drawings for rail projects.
• Collaborate with senior designers across concept to completion.
• Gain hands-on shop-floor exposure and work toward design ownership by year 3.
