Job summary

Lusona Consultancy is seeking a motivated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects including data centres, hotels, and commercial offices, gaining valuable experience alongside experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities include assisting in cost estimation, contract administration, and ensuring effective project delivery. Ideally, candidates should have a degree in Quantity Surveying and strong numerical skills to thrive in this challenging role.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of construction processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
• Previous placement or internship within the construction or commercial environment.
• Basic knowledge of standard forms of contract (NEC, JCT).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
• Contribute to cost reporting and forecasting on live projects.
• Support the administration of construction contracts (e.g. NEC / JCT).
• Work closely with site and design teams to ensure effective cost control.
• Attend project meetings and contribute to commercial discussions.
