Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment Limited is seeking a Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the Faversham, Kent team on a full-time basis. You will support senior surveyors on live projects and contribute to cost plans, budgets and tendering processes while developing technical and client-facing skills.

A relevant degree is essential; placement or graduate experience is advantageous. The role offers hands-on project exposure and a clear path to increased responsibility and long-term career

Qualifications

• Relevant degree essential.
• Placement year/internship or graduate position advantageous but not essential.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication; strong organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support senior surveyors with the delivery of live projects.
• Assist with project documentation, reports and commercial information.
• Assist with cost plans, estimates and project budgets.
• Support tendering, procurement and contractor enquiries.
• Attend site visits, project meetings and client meetings.
• Assist with valuations, variations and project cost reporting.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Take on increasing levels of responsibility as experience develops.
